Wasaga Beach

Wasaga Beach is a Canadian city on the southern tip of Georgian Bay, Ontario with views of the Niagara Escarpment. It’s the home of the longest freshwater beach in the world with 14 kilometers of safe, sandy shores and breathtaking sunsets that lie along the Nottawasaga Bay. Hailed as one of the top tourist destinations in the world, it is a UNESCO World Biosphere as well as a quaint town that is growing quickly with a mix of families, cultural creatives, and seniors. There are a variety of housing options to suit different lifestyles.

This town offers many things to do and see and is known for its canoe routes along the winding Nottawasaga River and a historic site on Nancy Island near the mouth of the river that commemorates the War of 1812. There are also Ontario Provincial Parks with wildlife-inhabitants like the Piping Plover as well as over 65km of bike paths, cross-country trails and other outdoor activities like fishing, boating, and golfing. Just minutes to the Blue Mountain ski resort and other ski clubs close by for downhill skiing and snowboarding. The nearby region of Waverly hosts the aquifer with the world’s purest water.  

With a year-round population of over 23,000 residents (and cottagers), the population swells during the summer months. The community is one of the fastest growing areas in Ontario and very popular with retirees. There are many housing options in this area from cottages, new homes, townhomes and condos. Wasaga Beach has a lot to offer including great shops, culturally diverse restaurants, a sports park, rec plex and soon a Twin-pad arena and library. All amenities provide an enjoyable atmosphere for locals and visitors alike. Wasaga Beach is located approximately 120 kilometers north-east of Toronto and 30 minutes from Barrie.
